Our Leather Family

Below you will find a breif history of how our family evolved over time.  It all started back in the 1990's when I, Mike meet my first boy, Bryan.  I had just come off of a bad year getting past the death of my partner at the time from AIDS, when I meet Bryan at a Bare Bear Party that a friend was having.  I did not want to go out that night, but it was in the low 100's still at 8 or 9 pm in DC and I was not feeling going out in the heat but I pushed myself past that and out I went to my friends place in Arlington Va.  There on a night that was 99 degrees at mid-night, I noticed as I looked out from his balcony and read the sign on the near by bank while smoking a cigarette.   Out on the balcony Bryan was standing smoking as well and started up a conversation.  Who would know that an innocent conversation would lead to the family we now have.   Life is like that, in that you never really know what it holds for you, as long as you keep yourself open to the options that it throws your way.

We moved into together at some point, and after a while decided that we might as well live on a boat since we spent so much time out on my boat.  So we purchased and moved on-board a nice decent sized boat.   After spending time on the boat and using it every chance we got, we started thinking about taking the boat somewhere on a trip and more we through about this, the more we knew that a motor boat was not the right choice for where we wanted to go.  So we sold that and purchased a motor sailer that we left on and sailed for 6/7 years around the east coast of the US and the Caribbean, then through the Panama Canal and out to the Galapagos, then up to San Diego.

In 2006 we returned to the US, and ended up in San Diego.  We spend a couple of years getting back into the community that we have missed.

In 2008 Bryan meets Scooby, and after a while he joins the family as Bryan's puppy in 2009.  

Adam one of the Producers of the Mr San Diego Leather Contest and a friend talks with Bryan about running that year.  He runs and goes on to become Mt San Diego Leather 2009.

In 2010, Mike meets Frank for lunch one day to talk about playing since he was looking for someone that would play and play hard.  We talk for a bit and setup a play date, this went well and the connection between Frank and I was out of this world.  After playing many times, we talk and decide to move forward with a Sir/boy relationship and he is collared in 2011.

Life went on and we took some family holidays, to Smokeout in Vegas, and ABW in Chicago where Bryan came home with the title American Leather boy 2010 (From Mike ABW is a working title and their titleholders put time and effort back into the community which I support), and took part in many local events here in San Diego and in L.A.  One of the highlights was "performing" at Exposed in 2011 or was it 2012 anyway this was the kick off event for L.A. Leather Pride that year.  This performance was Bryan, Frank and me. To start with I did a cutting of the word Pig into Frank's back with a scalpel, then we did an out of this world (at least for me) single tail whip co-topping with Bryan as the other top, and Frank was the bottom.  This was hot, I do mean hot.  We whipped his back together, and split up with me Mike whipping his chest while Bryan whipped his back.  Then to top this off we did a nipple piercing on him at the end.  A good friend Amy had the equipment with her and I spoke with her before and she was all in to assist with this at the end. 

We took part in hosting the Beat and Greet here in San Diego for several years.  Life went on as normal for everyone, we had our ups and downs and came out the other end better people.

In 2017, Mike contacted slave (Doug) that was local to me at that minute and it turned out he was visiting from the Denver area, and while we could not get together at that point he came out for a visit later.  The first visit turned into another one, and several after that before Doug joined the family as Mike's slave.

In early 2021 slave doug, spoke with me about needing some time to deal with some issues he was facing at home.  We all wish him the best and will keep a spot open for him if he returns once he gets things back in line.
